A Change Agent and longtime supporter of Changents is battling stage 3b testicular cancer (same stage and type as Lance Armstrong). We're challenging ourselves - the Changents Community - to come together and raise $1000 by Thanksgiving for someone who helped make Changents.com possible.

Dear Changents Community,
I hope everyone will share this opportunity to give a little and do a lot of good with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.
Our friend Stephan is a Change Agent. Yes, he's an all-around good guy and a devoted family man - 3 elementary school-aged kids, including a beautiful girl who he and his wife adopted from China. But beyond that, he's committed to making the "idiot box" - that's right, Television - more beneficial to kids and more manageable for conscientious parents.
Stephan recognized long ago that with hundreds of channels of junk that are anything but kid-friendly, more positive programming and services were needed to harness the power for TV in ways that are good for families, not just advertisers. He's invested big chunks of his career to making that happen.
I met Stephan a decade ago when we both were consulting for Disney Channel. I was immediately struck by his combination of brains, experience, and passion. Back then Stephan and I recognized our shared interest in using powerful, well-told stories to activate large audiences around the world for social and environmental change.
Stephan was one of the first people to really encourage Deron Triff's and my vision for Changents, and say "you're on to something" when we were getting started. It meant a ton to us to hear that! Over the past several years he has been generous with his time, connections, and ideas as we worked to launch, then grow and evolve Changents as a service dedicated to supporting the Change Agents who are serving so many.
Stephan is the kind of person you can call on when the chips are down. He's been a good friend to Changents and now he's fighting to reclaim his health and a life that resembles "normal."
In short, he and his family could use our help heading into the holidays - to buy food, pay the mortgage, and just keep the proverbial lights on at home. So we're hoping the Changents Community can - in some small measure - return Stephan's generosity.
Will just 200 of us "Chip In" $5? $100, $1, or whatever you can give is fine, too. With the easy-to-use widget on this page, the Changents community can bring some light this Thanksgiving to a guy who helped Changents see the light of day. I'm excited about doing this together!

Thank you.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

PS: Coincidentally (and happily), it is now the month of Movember - a time when moustaches are cultivated on the faces of men nationwide (the Mo Bros) as a sign of solidarity in the effort to raise awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
I have 2 dear male friends in the cancer fight now, so even though I started a little late - and barely have enough whiskers to get a proper "Mo" working - here's what I have so far.
