Give a Phone…Save a Life
Have you just upgraded to the latest whiz-bang techno-phone that even cooks dinner for you? Wondering what to do with that old clunker you used to carry around?
Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership is launching a cell phone drive. The used cell phones that we collect will be reprogrammed to call 911 and other emergency numbers, without the need of a cellular service plan and without a fee. For victims of domestic violence who receive these phones, this can be a crucial lifeline to help. Abusers often try to prevent victims from calling the police.
We will accept ANY cell phone and battery. In addition to providing phones to victims, cell phone parts will be sold to raise funds to support Safe Havens’ programs. So, your donation also provides financial support for Safe Havens’ work.
If you have a cell phone you no longer need, please drop it in the mail to: Safe Havens, 101 Arch Street, 11th Floor, Boston, MA 02110. With your help, victims can have a 24-hour lifeline to the help they need.
Thank you in advance for your cell phones. Your donation could save a life!
