In the mid nineteen-nineties, I was a twentysomething living in Gloucester, Massachusetts. I rented the third floor of an old Victorian on Middle Street, and although I couldn’t see Russia from my living room, I could peer over the buildings along Main Street and catch glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean. (Back then, I was convinced ... Continue reading What I think about when I am freezing my face off: thoughts from Swim Day 42

Thanks for swimming and writing. Keep up the good work! If you are looking for fun places to swim, you might want to swim the Acushnet River, home to New Bedford Harbor. Not quite as nice as Cape Ann, but one hell of a mess.

Words cannot even describe how much I value what you are doing. I have always cared deeply about how we leave this planet for our future generations to come. I just decided to join the coast guard and am considering the marine science technician job aka " duck scrubbers" bc I want to enforce the laws and help keep our oceans clean. I would love to put our creative minds together and connect somehow.. I will be stationed in Wilmington NC.. as of next year. Positive energy and blessings your way.. keep up the awesome energy..and humanitarian effort! Peace in our oceans~ Stephanie Stewart "a voice"
