It has been four months since I hopped into a Flagship Adventures RIB and headed out past the fish pier toward the Boston Harbor Islands.

When I picked up my trail off Georges Island, the water was nine degrees colder than it was last summer.

This time, I was determined to swim out and around Point Allerton.

For today's adventure, I busted out the winter hood, passed on the lemon-lime Gatorade, and brewed up some Earl Grey tea.

I swam through water that started out green, and then mood-shifted through moments of gold, orange, pink, white, brown and purple.

I got south of red bell #4, and made the turn around Point Allerton. I finished up across from Nantasket Beach--finally clear of the Boston Harbor shipping lanes.

As sunset drained into dusk, I hopped back on board and Bryan blasted us back to Boston.

Back at Commonwealth Pier, the wind died and the lights of the city staked their claims on the water.

 Another 3.7 miles down.

Thanks for reading.

WOW what an awesome thing to do ..it is people like you that give the rest of us hope that maybe just maybe the world has a chance :) thank you It takes people willing to do things in a big way like this to make an impact I own an organic farm and try hard to always do the right thing for the earth and air and water and that is great but people like you bringing light to our cause is what is needed :)

how inspiring! i have been feeling like nothing i do even matters. today i am going downtown and i plan to make a difference in my community. thank you for setting an example! i cannot stop pollution in our oceans, but i can help the homeless by volunteering at the soup kitchen. by teaching my kids to respect everyone they meet and giving of myself. i am blessed. my family is whole. we have enough food to eat and clothes to wear. blessed be, lauryndaw meridian ,idaho

Mr Swain, First and foremost THANK YOU!!! It is gonna be someone like yourself that one day will get the attention of the world and hopefully make the change that you swim for... It is you that will get this done Not our so called politicians who say they care but do nothing to help.... Good luck in your adventures and please feel free to let me know how I can be of assistance to you... I would really like to help out somehow and someway. Thanks again... Chris Truitt

Wow, Thank you for swimming to clean up our oceans. Water is vital to man-kind as well as to numerous aquatic animals. It is a pleasure to meet someone who is WILLING to try to make a difference. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to even meet someone with such drive and determination to make this well needed difference. All my prayers will be with you during this endeavor and my wishes that more people not only encourage your efforts, but get involved in anyway that they are able to save our planet Earth. Thank you so much, Lori B-B, Michigan
