Phew, this open weekend is done.  After the mannic cleaning and tidying last week and talking non stop all weekend to the fifty odd people who came to the weekend, a quiet day before I start canvasing for the Local by election I am standing in (for the Green Party). The by-election is over i got 6.3% a bit of a disappointment but not too bad in the face of lots of aggressive canvasing from the Lib Dems and Conservatives I am glad to get back to some gardening at last!! Lots more coming up tho I went to the local Council Strategic Partnership conference on Friday and made good connections. Am now on their environment committee and have lined up two talks and a library exhibition.

Hello Bus People, I am on the board of the ReCONNstruction Center, 230 South St., New Britain, CT 06051. We are doing wonderful things for the landfills. We are partners with the ReUse People which is Deconstruction and began in California. Now there are Regional Managers in Connecticut! We are a non-profit organization and take in tax deductible donations of building materials from contractors, homeowners, landlords or anyone, and resell the usable materials to the public at low prices. Connecticut has no more space left in the landfills, the state is trucking building materials to Ohio! We are keeping products out of the landfills. We also assist charitable organizations with complimentary building materials, and raise money for other non-profits in need (as we are). To explain our mission and what we have, please see our website www.reCONNstructioncenter.org and COME ON DOWN! WE ARE AS GREEN AS YOU ARE! We will give you some of our products for show and tell if you need them on your venture to get the word out. Tel. 860-597-3390. email: info@reconnstructioncenter.org
