Elie Nduwayesu News Update: Growing Global Community

Dear Friends  It is some time since I have written to you all our news because we have been so very busy in Musanze. Through the summer we have had many visitors and we have welcomed students too on placements at the Deaf School and Wisdom Early Learning Center. They tell us that they love spending time with the children and for many of... Continue reading News Update: Growing Global Community

This is all great news, Elie. It must be amazing to have so many people from across countries help you and the kids in Musanze. And it makes me think--help can be something as easy as donating hoodie sweatshirts....an item of clothing many of us have multiples of! What defines help always depends on circumstance and I'm just glad you're finding kind hearts from all corners of the globe. Yay!

Thank you Eleanor for your kind words and advice. We will try to be specific and share much information and pictures with everyone in coming weeks. Please be patient because we have many things to do in our days. Also maybe not all people know how it can be difficult and expensive to get computer and internet access in our sort of situation. we do not yet have internet at our foundation office so we must go to an internet cafe to pick up and send our messages and this costs us a lot too.

Elie,

I am incredibly impressed by your accomplishments thus far with FCYF.  It just goes to show that even without money or additional resources, plain old-fashion determination can achieve a ton of good work! I'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you've done. Maybe you could do a blog or two about how you trained the community volunteers to mentor the child-headed households, and also how you built the vocational skills training center. If you had any pictures it would be great to see them too!
