Laura is a high school civics and law teacher in Ontario, and the mother of a boy with autism. In 2005, she and her husband helped co-found the Ontario Autism Coalition. They organized a province-wide series of more than two dozen local rallies to raise awareness about the lack of appropriate services and education for children with Autism in Ontario. They've met with MPP's, Cabinet Ministers, and staff from the Premier's office, and generated a ton of media attention for the cause. It's been a heck of a ride so far, and they're not done yet!
