Vegetarian "Ethical Choices" Green Fast Food Drive-thru Restaurants: There is enough food in the world to feed each person 4.3 pounds of food per day. The problem is not scarcity, but poverty. Vegetarian food is important for health, nutrition, ecology, ethics & world hunger. There are many healthy veggie restaurants - the Key & Goal is Drive-thru windows with green environmental concepts as mass fast food chains on a national scale.
We need fast food with ecologically friendly choices concerning ingredients, green choices (no pesticides-organic & healthy) & vegetarian concerns.
No need to be vegetarian to support this, as it would of course be optional to go to for meals once in a while. We haven't had a chance but would love to see it happen - some suggestions below:
- Basic Menu: Veggie burgers, veggie burritos, tofu/veggie hot dogs, natural fruit/veggie juices, baked potatos with broccolli & chives, natural french fries & potato wedges, soups, cauliflower, salads, tofu, soy milk & products, whole grain or healthy breads, veggie pizzas.
- Juices all fresh squeezed fruits & veggies, no additives.
- All natural tea &/or coffee.
- No fatty cooking oils, just use natural stuff like soy yogurt butter or natural oil.
- Ketchup, mustard & condiments all natural ingredients.
- Natural desserts like fruit salads & possibly environmental friendly chocolates, soy frozen yogurt or smoothies - Things you see at Whole Foods, etc.
- Maybe call it "Veggeez", "Stop'n'Veg", "Veggie Drive-Thru", "Health to Go","Go Green Food", "Veg-Out", etc.
- Key is to be drive-thru everywhere across the nation alongside McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc.
- Color theme: Possibly green & purple or Van Gogh's creative beautiful blue & orange combo.
- All environmentally conscious food, no chemicals, pesticides & use disposable packaging like potato utensils.
- Possibly have a vegetable, fruit & spice garden in area near drive-thru to provide natural food supplies for the restaurant. Have a tall wall to protect the garden or just have a greenhouse. Kids could go on tours in the garden to learn more about gardening, etc.
- Ensure each veggie drive-thru chain restaurant buys locally for their food supplies to avoid nationwide transporting of supplies, etc.
- Imagine all the mom's & dad's that can feed their kids healthy food on the go so is must have a Drive Thru Window. That's the key.
- Could be open late until say 2am or or even 24 hours.
- Can even start them on a small scale as a drive-thru kiosk in a store parking lot like the coffee drive-thrus or veggie hot dog carts.
- Needs to start in environmentally & health conscious locations or cities to begin this new wave. Example: Seattle, Washington has vegetarians everywhere & Mondays are veggie Sabbath days. Also Palo Alto, CA.
- Buildings could be made of all environmentally sound materials, insulation, paint, carpeting, etc. & run on renewable energies like solar panels, windpower, etc.
- Have water saving toilets, with a dyson airblade & give discounts for hybrid/electric/hydrogen cars.
- Recharging areas for electric cars for those dining inside.
- Sell natural cotton t-shirts, bumper stickers with drive-thru website name on them since it's so cool.
- People could make donations directly on the website to grow & fund these drive-thrus.
- These will help decrease slashing & burning forests which is done for fast food franchises with meat.
- Homeless people can receive Gift certificates from individuals or organizations for these healthy franchises to get quick healthy food.
This can help decrease the many health problems in our nation & globally.
We need the option for quick healthy environmentally sound drive-thru food to go!

If anyone says this doesn't make sense, just Remember: Fast food Drive-thrus do not have to be all junk food!! That's an old way of thinking that can be changed.
When this plan takes off across America, starting within more health conscious green cities, it could help our environment, healthcare problems, busy families, low-income & homeless peoples' diets, etc. It could probably be funded by grants due to the green & social causes, be a full or partial non-profit operation &/or a lucrative business. Even private or large business donations could support this effort. Lots of ways we can make it work!
