Wow. It's amazing that you were able to meet people who have been so directly affected by the water crisis. I can't believe that a CT resident has a polluted well and the case is still pending in court. This just goes to show that stories of unsafe drinking water or shortages are not just from far away places like Africa...they're literally in our own backyards.
I grew up in Northern Virginia and my family there still lives off well water. It puts a whole new spin on things--especially because 1) You can't take long showers or else the water heater will literally run out of water and 2) If the electricity goes out, so does the water because it's an electric pump! Really makes you appreciate the little things
