Project Serve seeks to bring together all aspects of a community in service. Project Serve mobilizes students seeking help with their required community service hours into FUN and organized group projects in the community in which they live. Caring adult volunteers are connected with the students as they work alongside each other in service to the Stanwood/Camano community.
Students receive a voucher for each hour worked in the program, which can be applied toward their school community service requirements, collected into a personal scholarship fund for future character-building activities, or donated right back into the community.
Since its launch in November of 2007, Project Serve has mobilized:
60 different students and
27 different adults into
22 different projects with
12 different organizations totaling
494 hours of service to the Stanwood/Camano community!
