About Me

I am originally from the DR Congo and I have been in the States for more than 10 years. I founded First Step Initiative about two and half years ago. My passion and drive to fight global poverty stem from my experience growing up in the Congo. I saw the devastation of poverty first hand. so, when I moved back to the USA, I was determined to do my part to help alleviate poverty in the communities that I left behind. I am very grateful to have this opportunity to serve the many people that our organization work with.

I learned about Changents last week from the Chronicle of Philanthropy eNews and I was thrilled to learn about your work and decided to join Changents right away.
