About Me

I'm a United Methodist pastor, a wife and mother of two teenagers, and a runner. I like to walk my dog on the beach and to grow orchids. But my main mission in life is to strengthen the faith community's response to victims of domestic violence so that victims never again have to choose between faith and safety.

 • I have run for many, many years, and I ALWAYS stop to pick up the trash! So, thank you so much for putting passion and words around what all of us should be doing. Any movement to address environmental crises must come, first and foremost, from those of us who are out there day in and day out and enjoying being outside. Others, who spend less time outside and therefore appreciate nature less and perhaps care less, need our leadership and our commitment and passion. Did you know that the average American spends less than 15 minutes outside everyday? I heard this somewhere! Can this be true? Clearly, those of us who live more outside than in have a role to play in raising awareness and appreciation. EcoRunners is a good place to start. Count me in!

 • As the leader of an interfaith agency that is harnessing the "power and light" of faith communities to stop domestic violence, I think the interview with Rev. Bingham will really add a great new dimension to your work.
