Journey of Action is a project created by siblings Ryan and Kassidy Brown. The mission of the project is to inspire the youth to become global citizens. JoA's first film project will be driving the Pan American Highway- from Alaska to Argentina. Ryan and Kassidy will volunteer with and showcase individuals, local and global non-profit organizations, universities, and high schools that are making a positive impact locally and abroad as well as companies that are socially and environmentally conscious. They will be addressing a number of issues from the environment, education, human and civil rights, the global economy, poverty, global health, politics and others for the purpose of attracting and bringing together as many people as possible into this movement of action. It is an education-focused project aimed at inspiring social activism and responsibility within the youth as well as revealing the adventurous, spontaneous, and exciting aspects of travel. Two filmmakers will document our journey. They will have a website where they blog daily, upload pictures, and most importantly have weekly "webisodes." The JoA website will be a social networking place for activist and inspiring activists, to connect with each other and to learn about all the individuals, non-profit organizations, universities & high schools, and companies Ryan and Kassidy will be showcasing and working with. Journey of Action's vision entails more projects and films; this "journey," movement, and project is just the beginning of creating a following that will foster a community of activated and informed youth.
