About Me
I believe that the human race has more than overstayed its welcome on this planet. We're encroaching on well, everything, and nothing really gave us the right to do this. I, as an individual, and as part of groups in my community, hope to address just a few of the hundreds of thousands of issues spouting from our inhabiting the planet. Things I'm working on already are spreading the word about climate change within my community of West London as a Climate Change Ambassador for the fantastic environmental charity Groundwork London. I also run a fairtrade stall within my school, which makes a huge impact on the welfare and environment of the workers who produce the food. Through that I hope to begin to address the imbalance of fortunes within the human race. I also believe that huge change will have to come from our governments, and am an active campaigner of both my local and national government, writing and talking about issues from limiting carbon emission to rural affairs to marine conservation laws. On a smaller scale, I try to make a difference within my school, sitting on the committee of the Environmental Action team, organising events and running the school recycling scheme. Meanwhile, I try to enjoy our precious planet as much as I can, enjoying horse riding, being outdoors, mountaineering and countryside pursuits.
