  • I'm planning to design many of our videos to spark debate in the classroom. What is the role of the individual in being sustainable vs. the role of the government, vs. the role of companies? If cars ran on renewable electricity and were designed to be completely recycled, are cars really an enemy of the environment? How do you design a sustainable future that is better than our current reality vs. a future of sacrifice and compromise? Many great debate issues. As tempting as it is to weigh in with opinions, it's more useful for schools to show different perspectives and let people decide for themselves. Colin

  • Good for you Mary Beth! The gas-powered lawn equipment is noisy and annoying, and the pollution they cause is astounding. My son Carrick and I made a video called 'Reel Mowers Cut Down Pollution' that talks about all the reasons to switch from a gas-powered mower to a reel mower, and it is now being used by several national reel mower companies to convince people to make the switch! You can check it out on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2qpuGm_0dg Good luck! Colin McCullough www.OurRenewableNation.org
