About Me

With more and more laws around the world banning indoor smoking, the cigarette problem has become uncontrollable outdoors. My partner and I have an invention for easily removing cigarette butts from difficult areas like mulch beds, rocks, pebbles, sand, sidewalk cracks and landscaping. Typically the only way to do this is to bend down and hand pick or suck up and entire mulch bed with huge machinery. Also, retail owners will just cover the old, cigarette infested mulch with new mulch, which still does not solve the problem of toxins flowing into storm drains after rain/snow. We are looking for backers to help us develop this product. We have spent thousands on attorneys and patent searches, but every component has already been invented. This invention is a modification to products already on the market. Potential uses for retail, college campuses, bars & restaurants, parks, beaches, hospital campuses and even personal use for those living on main streets where butts are discarded from car windows. Would love to hear from others on how we can proceed with this very necessary product.

  • Hey Chad, I met you years ago when I lived in Andalusia, IL accross the Mississippi from Davenport. I asked for your autograph and you signed my US Atlas on the Illinois page! Great to see you are still at it :) We hope to be able to contribute to one portion of cleaning up the environment with our cigarette butt invention (we call it "The Butt Sucker", but the patent attorneys had a hard time calling it that). Keep up the great work! Sarah

  • We have an invention that easily collects cigarette butts from difficult areas, like mulch beds, gravel, grass, sand, etc. Most smokers will always discard their butts carelessly. At least this gives the retailer the tool to pick up these butts from in front of their establishments without having to bend over and pick them up manually, or suck them up with big, gas guzzling machinery. Maybe we could work together? My profile will give you more info if interested. Thanks, Sarah
