About Me

I am a Master's of Fine Arts Candidate at the Academy of Art University. My thesis is focused on photographing the ocean at night lit by artificial light from the surround developments and industry. I am particularly concerned with the amount of plastic we consume and dispose of into the ocean. While I am not a photojournalist, I do strive for my photos to tell a story and to affect my viewers for positive change. When I am shooting on the street, I describe my style as urban realism, but in reality I am more of a schizophrenic photographer.

  • The city of NY is considering banning smoking in public parks and public areas! I understand most smokers don't realize (at least I giving them the benefit of the doubt and I hope its not that they just don't care) the damage second hand smoke does and that this is a heated debated. SECOND HAND SMOKE IS DISGUSTING and every bit as DEADLY as actually smoking the cigarette! Everyday I get stuck walking behind someone with their smoke blowing back into my face. Even at 15 to 20 feet behind them I can taste their smoke. I don't care if someone smokes until I have to smoke it with them just because I choose to walk to work instead of driving. Then there are the cigarette butts..... Article in the NY Times, Sept. 14th, 2009: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/15/nyregion/15smoking.html?_r=1&hp
